As a play therapist, I get to try out many fidget toys and other products that help kids cope with big emotions. I've listed some of my favorite ones here!
There are many helpful books out there, but sometimes sifting through them can be overwhelming! I've included some of my favorite books and workbooks that address topics such as ADHD, autism, parenting, anxiety, and trauma.
Children's books can be particularly helpful when supporting, teaching, and connecting with kids. I aboslutely love reading with my clients! I've collected some of my favorite books for you here.

A great tool for throwing on the ground to release frustration and anger. Comes in various sizes and colors.
Not approriate for younger children or individuals who may throw it at people, objects, or walls.

Need ideas for how to regulate your emotions and help your body calm down that go beyond taking deep breaths? These cards offer 50 different somatic (body centered) strategies. I love how they're grouped so clients can find which type work best for them!

It may seem like an odd choice, but we can train ourselves just like we train animals. Use these clickers any time you're feeling happy for a week or two. Next time you're feeling down, try the clicker and see if your body responds!

ADHD
An easy to read book that provides research based insight into the world of ADHD with plenty of humor. It's particularly helpful for couples where one partner has ADHD and the other does not.

Lisa does a great job of clearly explaining how ADHD can cause chaos and clutter in the home. She offers clear strategies for how to tackle it and how to help your kids get organized as well!
